UOT Mascot Design Competition -2022
The challenge of this competition is to design the first mascot for the University of Technology in Baghdad, Iraq. It is the first mascot ever to be designed for any of the Iraqi universities.
Note that the University of Technology has no intention to change its official logo. This competition is to design the mascot for the University of Technology in Baghdad, without changing its official logo. See details for the major differences between University’s logo and its mascot.
Designing the mascot for the University of Technology in Bagdad is a step forward to establishing the Techno Students Center TSC as part of the University’s vision to enhance the capacity of its campus as uplifting and positive environment with best learning and interactive experiences for all its students.
The considered entries are those which best reflect the University of Technology vision and goals. In addition, the proposed entries should meet the key requirements of mascot designing What Makes A Good Mascot .
The first three winning entries will have the opportunity to further develop their winning proposals based on the directions of the judging committee with the aim of introducing the final mascot design that best fits this competition’s requirements.
THIS COMPETITION WILL UNFOLD IN 2 PHASES BETWEEN FEBRUARY 2022 AND JULY 2022:

The Announcement of the winning mascot design 7-07-2022
Participants need to submit their work electronically using the submission (Openning Soon). Each submission must include the following:
a. A maximum of 3 panels (documents) at A4 size (210 x 297 mm) in vertical (portrait) format, submitted in pdf format at 300 dpi resolution.
b. The first document is the proposed mascot design.
c. the two other documents to include:
Short written description of the project,
Explanation and Description of the design concept (maximum 200 words)
Images of the design and concept references.
* Please note that you need to complete both steps (registration and submission) in order for your entry to be considered legitimate. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification.

The Announcement of the winning mascot design: July 7tht – 2022
The prize money will be awarded to winning entries as follows:
• First prize $1000 USD
• Second prize $750 USD
• Third prize $500 USD
The final 10 nominations will be awarded a certificate from the University of Technology as recognition and appreciation for their valued contributions.
In addition to 3 merit awards for the best three students’ entry from the University of Technology.

- Architects and architecture students.
- Artists and Designers including art and design students.
To be one of the outstanding leading institutions, distinguished in various specialized engineering and scientific disciplines that satisfy the renewable society requirements and the rapid technological developments.
To Prepare technically oriented engineers and scientific researches, distinguished in their high standards of knowledge and intellectual ability that comply with the international sound criteria of accreditation and quality assurance for the engineering and scientific programs and full commitments of the professional ethics.
